TIFR Hyderabad Announces PhD & Integrated MSc – PhD Programmes
TIFR-Hyderabad offers Ph.D. and Integrated M.Sc.- Ph.D. Programmes under the Subject Boards of Chemistry. Ph.D. Program. Integraduertd MSc porgram 2022. Admission 2022 at TIFR. Intrested and legible candidates may check out all the details on the same below:
Ph.D.: This program is ideally for 5 years. The research scholar has to finish the coursework within a maximum of 2 years as per the respective subject board guidelines and at the end of the 2nd year, the student has to register for Ph.D. A Residency period of 2 years after joining TIFR-H is mandatory for submitting the thesis.
Ph.D. students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.31,000/- (enhanced to Rs.35,000/- after registration) and an annual contingency grant of Rs.40,000/-.
Integrated M.Sc. – Ph.D.: This programme is ideally for 6 years. The research scholar has to finish the coursework within a maximum of 3 years as per the respective subject board guidelines and at the end of the 3rd year, the student has to register for Ph.D. He / She should also complete the requirements for an M.Sc. degree which will be awarded usually along with a Ph.D. degree at the end. Residency period of 1 year for M.Sc. and 2 years for Ph.D. after joining TIFR-H is mandatory for submitting the thesis.Scholarship: Integrated M.Sc. – Ph.D. students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.21,000/-, Rs.31,000/- from the second year (enhanced to Rs.35,000/- after registration), and an annual contingency grant of Rs.25,000/- (enhanced to Rs.40,000/- from second year onwards).
Accommodation is provided to Ph.D. and Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. students at a nominal cost.

Subject Board of Chemistry
Ph.D.: M.Sc. (Chemistry) / M.Tech. (Chemical Sciences) / M.Pharm or equivalent science/engineering/medical degree Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D.: B.Sc/ B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Pharm or equivalent science/engineering/medical degree In addition the candidate must have qualified in any of the following examinations in chemical sciences/ engineering:
The written test of TIFR(2022) / GATE (minimum valid score of 450 in 2020, 2021 or 2022) / JAM 2022 (Only for Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D, minimum rank of 400 or better) / CSIR UGC NET 2020 or 2021(JRF eligible).
Candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned eligibility criteria are invited to apply through our online portal. Shortlisted candidates (based on their academic performance and the qualifying tests mentioned above) will be called for a personal interview which will be held at TCIS, TIFR-Hyderabad tentatively in May-June 2022.

For Chemistry
Through TIFR Entrance Exam (GS2022): Based on the academic performance and the results of GS2022 TIFR entrance exam, shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview.
Through GATE/JAM/CSIR-UGC NET: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should apply through our online portal.
TIFR-H Chemistry interviews will be conducted tentatively in May-June 2022 (for both Ph.D. and I-Ph.D.). The exact dates for the on-campus interview will be mentioned in the call letter.
