Applications are invited from the eligible officers for filling up one vacant post of
Assistant Professor (Physical Chemistry), a General Central Service, Group, A, Gazetted,
Non-Ministerial post in Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade pay Rs.6,600-, as per 6th CPCI at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, a sub-ordinate office in the
Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & public
Distribution, by Composite method: Promotion/ Deputation (including short-term contract).

Job Title: Assistant Professor (Physical Chemistry)

Number of posts: 1(One)

Classification of post for Govt DFPD Assistant Professor: Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post

Pay Scale: Level-11 of the Pay Matrix
(PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade pay Rs. 6,600/-, as per 6th CPC)

Age Limit: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 55 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

Eligibility:

• Masters degree in physical chemistry or Masters Degree in chemistry with physical
  Chemistry as one of the papers from a recognized University/ institute; and five years post qualification experience of research work in physical chemistry or five
  years’ working experience in sugar factory or distillery or other related industrial units or
  five years of teaching experience at degree level in physical Chemistry; OR
• Doctorate in chemistry from a recognised university/ institute with essential
  qualifications at Masters Degree in physical chemistry or Masters Degree in chemistry
  with Physical chemistry as one of the papers from a recognized university/ institute; and
  three years’ working experience in sugar factory or distillery or other related industrial
  units or three years of teaching experience at degree level in physical Chemistry.

Note:- The departmental Junior scientific officer (physical chemistry) in Level-lo (Rs. 56,100- 1,77,500 of the Pay Matrix having five years’ regular service in the grade and having the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for deputationists, shall be considered along with outsiders and if the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post, it shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.

Place of Postings for Govt DFPD Assistant Professor: The place of posting will be National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (Up), but
liable to be posted anywhere in India

Duties attached to the Govt DFPD Assistant Professor:
(i) Teaching, Research and Advisory.
(ii) Any other work assigned by the Senior Officers/ Director.
