Title of the project: “Identification, cloning, expression, purification and characterization of DNA demethylase enzyme activity: Investigation of the mechanism of demethylation of
cytosine-5-carbon methylated-DNA keeping the DNA strand
intact”.
Name of the Sponsoring Agency DBT, Govt. of India
Tenure of the Project 06 month (likely to be extended for two more years)
Tenure of the Assignment 06 month (based on the performance) OR completion of the
project, whichever is suitable/earlier
Job Description
To carry out research work & experiments related to the project and there is scope to continue as Ph.D. student at NIT Rourkela on related topics of this project work.
Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship Rs. 25,000 or 28,000/- P.M. + house rent as admissible by the Institute.
Essential Qualifications and experience
M.Sc./M. Tech. in Organic Chemistry Genetics/ MVSc/MBBS or related subjects with above 65% of marks or 7.00 CGPA
Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences
Knowledge on Cell culture
and Gene cloning will be preferred. Preferably, Qualified NET (CSIR-UGC), DBT, ICMR etc. /GATE or any National Level Efficiency TestAccommodation
Bachelor accommodation in the hostel will be provided and
Campus accommodation may be provided to married
students subject to availability
