Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project at the Institute of Nano Science and
Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: “Flexible Electroactive Metal Oxide/Phosphide
Impregnated Carbon Fibre for Energy Storage and Water Splitting
Applications”
Principal Investigator: Dr Kaushik Ghosh, Scientist-E
Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow-1 (Project)
Number of positions available: One
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. MSc or M. Tech in Chemistry/Physics/Material-science/Engineering or Related Areas
2. Qualified: CSIR or UGC-NET/GATE/JEST/DST-INSPIRE National Level qualifying
examination.
Desirable: Research experience in Electrochemistry/ analytical techniques/ nanoscience/
electronics/ material chemistry/ device fabrication is preferred.
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 5th February 2020 for JRF (relaxable as per the norms/orders of Government of India).
Salary: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (JRF)
Project duration: Initially for 6 months and may be extended to another 6 months based on performance of the candidates
and availability of fund.General Terms and Conditions:
The position is purely temporary on contractual basis and renewable upto 6 months subject to satisfactory performance. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for JRF position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Mode of Interview: Candidate should appear for interview in person.
However, candidates residing far off may opt to online interview through Skype, subject to
the prior approval of the undersigned. (Request along with the Skype ID should be sent at
[email protected] before 5th February 2020) Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials, Dissertation Thesis, Project Reports of earlier work done along with 3 copies of CV must be presented at the time of interview. One set of self-attested photocopies of these documents with 1 passport size photographs must be submitted at the time of interview.
