Job Title: Research Analyst II (Technical Editor – Chemical)
Work Location: Gurgaon – Ambience

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or in bio-science (Mandatory).
Experience: 4-6 years of professional experience in technical or scientific English language editing, preferably in chemical, energy, or other engineering industry related areas.
Other skills:

- Excellent written and communication skills
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Preferred experience with content management systems, chemical drawing software such as ChemDoodle.
General Job Duties:
Will independently manage and execute the following tasks:
- Prepare raw text from authors, researchers and consultants for submission to Editorial & Publishing team and / or project lead
- Edit English language publications and projects on highly technical and analytical subject matters pertaining to the global chemical and related industries
- Correct spelling, grammar, text structure and flow to enhance readability for technical and non-technical client audiences
- Review graphs, tables, flowcharts and other non-text items for accuracy
- Work within existing word / powerpoint templates and content management system
- Work successfully with local and global teams to meet tight publication and project deadlines
Specific Job Duties:
- Revision and editing of Process Economics Program (PEP) reports and reviews, Company
- Strategic Profiles (CSP), and consulting projects authored by non-native English speakers.
- Assist with the revision and editing of other chemical reports on an as-needed basis.
- Correction of spelling, grammar, sentence logic and flow, readability and document structure including formatting and layout work in word, powerpoint and content management system.
Summary:
Expert at bringing clearness, conciseness, and consistency to highly technical research reports, consulting projects and market research publications. Diligent, focused editor, capable of producing a quality product within tight deadlines. Broad experience in editing related to chemical industry research, process technology, safety engineering, plant equipment and systems. Team involvement in the production process from draft through the published document with ability to interact with authors, consultants and editorial/production team. Technical background, including a Bachelors degree in chemistry/chemical engineering, will allow for easy comprehension and effective communication of scientific and highly technical subject matters.
