Job Title: Research Associate
Work Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Eligibility: M. Sc. in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry
Experience: Industry experience of 3 to 5 years
Job Summary
Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) is a not for profit start-up organization based out Bengaluru, working towards the discovery of new drugs and diagnostics in the space of neglected diseases and other diseases of interest to India.
Research Associate – Chemistry will be involved in doing chemistry work in various preclinical drug discovery and diagnostic programs.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with the people as a team in the lab and report the work to principle (or) senior scientist.
- Train and guide Junior chemists in the execution of their work.
- Analyze the analytical report of the progress
Technical Skills required:
- Multi step organic synthesis
- Experience in various chromatography technics (Column, flash, combi flash etc.)
- Literature search to plan synthetic schemes – Scifinder, Reaxys etc
- Propose synthetic routes for new chemical entities
- Good knowledge of analytical technics and data interpretation.
Basic Skills required:
- Ability to work independently with enthusiasm
- Decision making
- Collaborations
- Knowledge of drug discovery processes and development
- Proficiency with instrumentation and automation
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in English
- Computer skills in multiple programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
Salary: ₹28,000.00 to ₹33,000.00 /month
