Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the position of Project Fellow (PF) to work under UGC-DAE-CSR sponsored research project entitled “Fluorescent Carbon Quantum Dots derived from food waste and its ionic liquid modified ITO electrode as a dual probe for Cancer Diagnosis” (CRS-M-231) at the Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai-25.

Salary:

For Non-NET/Non-GATE candidates:

Rs. 14, 000/- p.m. + HRA* for initial two years and

Rs. 16, 000/- p.m. + HRA* for third year (subject to conditions)

For NET/GATE candidates in relevant subjects:

Rs. 25, 000/- p.m. + HRA* for initial two years and

Rs. 28, 000/- p.m. + HRA* for third year (subject to conditions)

Qualifications

2nd class M. Sc., in Physical Chemistry/ General Chemistry with minimum of 55% marks.

Note:

  • The candidate would be required to carry out collaborative experiments at UGC-DAE-CSR nodal centre at BARC, Mumbai. The candidate would be encouraged to work for his/her Ph.D.
  • The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research scheme and the appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in UGC-DAE-CSR.
