Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI) is a premier research institute dedicated to pursue interdisciplinary research on salinity/ alkalinity management and use of poor quality irrigation waters in different agro-ecological zones of the country. The Govt. of India constituted an Indo-American Team to assist the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to develop a comprehensive water management programme for the country. As a follow up of these recommendations, it was decided to establish the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute under Fourth Plan period.

Age Limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women candidates. Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
Salary: Rs. 25000/- + HRA as per rules.
Qualifications:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics with working experience (documentary proof required) in polymers, polymerization and/or clay minerals and/or nanomaterials.Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics with working experience (documentary proof required) in polymers, polymerization and/or clay minerals and/or nanomaterials.OR MSc in Soil Science, Soil Microbiology,Agricultural Physics, Soil Chemistry.
- Desirable: Experience in polymers/ polymerization, nanotechnology or microbe-fertilizer rhizospheric interactions.Candidates having post graduate degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years
