JRF / Project Assistant Position Vacant @ Central University of Karnataka

Application are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Assistant or Project Fellow under Un-Reserved (UR) Category with a Fellowship/Fixed amount of Rs. 25,000 / per month & applicable HRA for JRF and Rs. 14,000/- per month & applicable HRA for Project Fellow /Project Assistant in a SERB-DST Sponsored Project entitled “Metal Phosphides-Unconventional electrocatalyst for alternate energy systems” (Ref:EMR/2016/000236) sanctioned up to initially for one year & extendable upto the duration of the project. The post is co-terminus with the project or specified period whichever is earlier.

Age Limit:  The upper Age Limit is _28_Years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates)

Salary:   Rs. 25,000 / per month & applicable HRA for JRF and Rs.

Qualifications:  

The candidates seeking selection as JRF/Project Fellow/Project Assistant must possess an M.Sc. in Chemistry or Any other specialisation in Chemistry from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, Additionally, For JRF, candidates should have valid GATE score card. In case an applicant has some research experience

the due weightage will be given. Project employees may be allowed to register for the Ph.D. programme of the University provided they fulfil all the requirements prescribed by the UGC and Central University of Karnataka.

Desirable – Good working knowledge in MS Office. Background in Physical/Inorganic/Materials/Analytical Chemistry is desirable
