PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To perform packaging operations confirming to best manufacturing practices and EHS requirements in the minimum time with desired quality and quantity
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1: Execute packaging activities by optimum utilization of facility
- Responsible for issuing, weighing and handling of raw and packaging materials batch wise.
- Responsible for weighing and bottling of product with good eye and hand co-ordination.
- Responsible for labelilng the packed bottes as per the global standards.
- To prepare and maintain proper documentation on line.
- Maintain equipment, tools and facilities in safe and clean environment
- Responsible for production planning and coordinate with warehouse/lab functions.
- Expert use of SAP to enter online data.
2: Quality and EHS
- Ensure that materials and equipment’s are appropriately handled to prevent cross contamination.
- Make sure all production deviations are reported.
- To do clearance of input/output in consultation with QA
- Investigate critical deviations and record conclusions.
- Adhere to all EHS guidelines of the company.
- Consult with EHS personnel for deviations and take approval.
- Release work permits for any project / maintenance activity likely to affect safety of the operations.
3: Trouble Shooting
- Establish trouble shooting process
- Training of man power associated with production activity.
- Document verification (like process order, transfer order etc…)
- Responsible to see SOP’s are followed.
- Preparation of area and equipment’s before starting packing activities.
- Monitoring the area for cleanliness and safe environment.
4: Performance Matrix
- Performance reporting on packing efficiency in terms of quality and quantity.
- Budgeting for raw materials usage, utilities, consumables and packing cost
- Perform trial and validation of batches for new products by coordinating with all relevant departments.
- Achieve “Best in Class” packaging operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Graduate / Post Graduate in Chemistry.
Experience:
- 0-1 years of experience in packaging in pharma industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SAP platform essential.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Good understanding on GMP practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical capability, Process analysis and process improvement skills
- Sound physical condition
