JRF Vacancy for Chemistry Candidates @ IISER Bhopal


Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of “Junior Research Fellow” under the following research project funded by the SERB, Government of India.

Title of the Research Project: Heteroatom-Guided, Palladium-catalyzed C-H Functionalization and Asymmetric Reduction as a New Strategy for the Synthesis of Biologically Important 4-aryltetrahydroisoquinolines and 3-aryltetrahydroisoquinolines

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (01 No.)

Qualification & Experience: First class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry (preferably with a specialization in Organic Chemistry) from a recognized University/Institute with valid NET (CSIR/UGC JRF) / NET (LS) / GATE. Some experience in organic synthesis would be preferred.

Age Limit: Applicant should not have completed 28 years of age as on Dec 31, 2016.

Salary: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA (For CSIR/UGC JRF qualified) / Rs. 12000/- pm + HRA (For GATE qualified).

Duration: 6 months (Can be extended to up to One year subject to satisfactory performance).

The application should contain a detailed résumé, photograph and names of two referees and should be in the appended format. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA will be paid for attending the same. Photocopies of certificates / mark sheets and other testimonials will be collected at the time of interview.
