Advertisement for JRF under Young Scientist Scheme (SERB-DST)

Applications are invited for the Junior Research fellowship position from the motivated candidates with background in organic chemistry to work on the project funded by SERB-DST under Young Scientist Scheme (Ref. No. YSS/2014/000792).

Title of the project: Mechanistic investigation into the enol reductase activity of a naphthol reductase enzyme.

Essential Qualification: 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Organic Chemistry with NET-LS qualified. Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in organic synthesis.

Fellowship: The selected candidate will receive fellowship as per revised DST rules, that is Rs. 25,000 p.m. (+20% HRA)

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to get registration for Ph.D. during the project subject to qualification of CSIR-UGC-NET examination or the Ph.D. entrance examination of the registering University following the UGC guidelines.
