Privacy Policy

Rasayanika (www.rasayanika.com) is a chemistry and pharma careers website run by BioTecNika Info Labs Pvt. Ltd., 1848/C, 20th Main, Sector-1, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102, Karnataka, India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Act, 2000.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Subscribing to Rasayanika Times or unlocking an article: your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Free member account (sign in with an emailed code): your email address and name, the jobs you save, the Research Clubs you join, and your RSN Coins activity (coins earned, your invite code and the friends who joined through it).
  • Free downloads, webinars and other forms: the details the form asks for, such as name, email, mobile number, qualification or college. These forms are run by our form provider (Wufoo) on our behalf.
  • Rasayanika Talent Pool: your CV and the career details you enter. As that form explains, these are shared with recruiting companies so they can contact you about suitable jobs.
  • Comments and messages you post or send to us, including through WhatsApp or our contact page.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location (city level, from the IP address), pages viewed, the page that referred you, and how you use the site.
  • Sharing: when you use our share buttons, or someone opens a link you shared, we record the page, the channel (for example WhatsApp) and your invite code, so we can credit RSN Coins and see what people find useful. IP addresses in these records are stored only as a salted one-way hash.
  • Cookies and browser storage (see section 6).

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, passwords, bank or card details, Aadhaar or other government ID numbers, or health information.

2. How we use it

  • To send you the newsletter, job alerts and the PDFs you ask for, by email (and WhatsApp or SMS where you gave your number for that purpose).
  • To run your free account: saved jobs on all your devices, Research Clubs, and RSN Coins and invite rewards.
  • To keep the site safe: an automated security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) when you sign in, email verification, and checks for fake sign-ups or misuse of rewards.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics).
  • To show advertising, which keeps Rasayanika free (see section 6).
  • To tell you about courses, workshops and events from Rasayanika and the BioTecNika group. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We use your data only for the purposes above, on the basis of your consent or another lawful use permitted under Indian law. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 8); this does not affect anything done before you withdrew.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers who host or process data for us under contract and only on our instructions: website hosting and security (Kinsta, Google Cloud, Cloudflare), our member and newsletter database (Supabase), email delivery, form tools (Wufoo), analytics (Google Analytics), video (YouTube, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode) and advertising partners (such as Google).
  • The BioTecNika group: your free member account works across our sister sites (BioTecNika, Pharmanika, MediTechNika and BioTecNika Global), so your account details are shared with them.
  • Recruiters, only if you join the Talent Pool or submit a form that clearly says your details will go to an employer.
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is merged, sold or restructured, who must keep protecting your data under this policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Job applications

Rasayanika lists jobs and links to the official notification or the employer’s application page. When you apply, you do so on the employer’s site, under their privacy policy, not ours.

5. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter and alert details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Member account, saved jobs and RSN Coins: while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account we do so within 30 days, except records we must keep by law or to prevent fraud.
  • Analytics and security logs: for as long as needed for those purposes, normally not more than 26 months.

6. Cookies, browser storage and advertising

We use cookies and your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in, remember jobs you saved and articles you unlocked, remember your invite code, measure visits and protect the site. Advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites and to measure them. You can manage personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features (such as staying signed in or saved jobs) may then stop working.

7. Security and transfers

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India of a personal data breach as the law requires. Some of our providers store data on servers outside India; when they do, they protect it under their contracts with us and as permitted by Indian law.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with; correct or update it; delete it; withdraw your consent; and nominate a person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to. You can also unsubscribe using the link in any email. To make a request, use our contact page with the subject “Privacy request” and the email address you used with us. We may need to verify that the request is yours, and we reply within 30 days.

9. Children

Rasayanika is meant for college students, graduates and professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Grievance Officer

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at BioTecNika Info Labs Pvt. Ltd., 1848/C, 20th Main, Sector-1, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102, Karnataka, India; phone +91-80-5099-7000; or through our contact page. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Links to other websites

Our pages link to employers, government notifications, YouTube and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make significant changes, we will tell you on the site or by email before they take effect.
