The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) invites online applications for one post of Scientific Officer (Chemistry & Toxicology), Group B (Job Trainee), in the Department of Home (C), Himachal Pradesh. The last date to apply and pay the fee is December 4, 2025 (11:59 PM).
Candidates must ensure they are eligible, in the correct category, have the required experience, and meet the essential qualifications before applying. Required documents include educational certificates, category certificates, bona fide Himachali proof, and experience letters.
The position offers a monthly salary of ₹28,000 for Job Trainees.
Essential Qualification:

Second Class Master’s Degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or M.S./M.Pharm from a recognized university.

Minimum three years of post-M.Sc./M.Pharm experience in research, training, or analytical work.
(Research experience during Ph.D. will be counted.)
Desirable Qualification:

Knowledge of local customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Age Limit: 18–45 years as of January 1, 2025 (relaxation as per government rules).
Selection Process:
- Candidates will undergo a Screening Test/Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) followed by a Personality Test.
- The SAT will assess General Knowledge, English, Hindi, and subject aptitude. The Personality Test carries 30 marks.

- Register via the One Time Registration (OTR) system.
- Upload all required documents in a legible, high-quality format.
- Pay the examination fee online via debit/credit card or UPI.
Application Fee:
- ₹600 for General/EWS candidates.
- ₹150 for SC/ST/OBC candidates of H.P.
- Ex-Servicemen and visually impaired candidates are exempted.

- Shimla (subject to Commission’s discretion).
