Engagement in the positions of Project Associate (PAT-I)

CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, desires to engage qualified candidates as Project Associate (PAT-I) purely on a temporary contractual basis for the project entitled “Setting up the State of Art Laboratory for Quality and Safety Assurance of Agricultural and value-added products” (CNP 576). The engagement is initially up to March 31, 2026, and is extendable up to November 2026, based on requirements or until the end of the project duration, whichever is earlier, at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka.

Project Associate – I (PAT-I) M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Food Science or equivalent R&D, Analytical & Lab Work Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemistry / Life Sciences / Food Science & Technology (including Nutrition)

 

Desirable Qualification/Experience for Project Associate-I

Experience in a reputed R&D institute in the areas of modern analytical instruments, method validation, and MS-office tools will be preferred.

Note:

As per CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024, engagement of Project Staff shall be co-terminus with the term of the Project. The total period of the engagement of a Project Staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. Applicants who have completed the total tenure of 6 years are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Candidates should not have exceeded 35 years of age as on 18-11-2025.
  • Only those candidates who have already acquired the essential qualification & their results have been declared are eligible to apply.
  • The period of experience in a discipline/area of work shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications.
  • The applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by a designated committee. Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on CSIR-CFTRI website. No TA/DA for attending the interview.
  • In the event of a large number of applications, short-listing will be done by the committee using various criteria.
  • Based on candidate performance in the interview, results of selected candidates will be posted on CFTRI website.
  • Relaxation in age limit for SC/ST/PwBD/Women is 05 years; for OBC is 03 years.
  • Engagement is temporary and co-terminus with the project. It does not confer any right for regularization for a permanent post at CSIR-CFTRI.
