Quality Chemist Job- Role Overview
The Quality Chemist ensures that all materials and products comply with internal SOPs, ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves QC testing, troubleshooting deviations, supporting audits, and managing lab technicians to maintain product quality.
Quality Chemist Job- Key Responsibilities
- Test and qualify materials as per standards and SOPs.
- Lead 6S initiatives and maintain lab organization.
- Support production in resolving quality deviations and troubleshooting processes.
- Conduct complaint analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Approve production batch cards and update local formulations in ERP.
- Assist in audits, internal quality meetings, safety walks, and QC orientation sessions.
- Identify gaps in test methods or specifications and act as per QA guidelines.
Chemistry graduates- Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Quality Assurance Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3–5 years in QC, preferably in paint/coatings or chemical manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in English and proficiency in computer applications.
