USV Apprenticeship Role Description
This USV apprentice job involves working as a Trainee Operative Technician with responsibilities that include:
- Utilizing analytical techniques such as UV–Visible spectroscopy and Colorimetry.
- Conducting chromatography using HPLC, GC, TLC/HPTLC, and ICP-MS.
- Performing electrophoresis techniques including AGE, PAGE, and SDS-PAGE.
- Engaging in molecular techniques like DNA/RNA extraction and PCR basics.
- Handling clinical samples, preparing buffers/reagents, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Operating instruments such as colorimeters, UV chambers, and microplate readers.
- Analyzing data through chromatogram and spectrum interpretation, standard curves, and QC basics.
- Utilizing bioinformatics tools including BLAST, NCBI tools, and Expasy.
