Engagement of Project Staff through Online Interview

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for engagement of R&D Project Staff on a purely temporary basis under the project titled:
“Solar Panels, Electrical/Electronic Appliances and Air Conditioner Wastes to Sustainable Materials (C-SEAS) – NEERI Component: Recovery of Valuable Metals from End-of-Life (EOL) LED Lamps (MMP-085203)”, tenable at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur or its Zonal Centres.

  Project Associate-I (PAT-I)
• Number of Positions: 01 (anticipated up to 3, depending on fund availability and waiting list selection)

Essential Qualification:

• Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry
  OR

• B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university

Job Requirements:

• Conduct experimentations and characterization studies
• Perform analytical data compilation and interpretation
• Operate analytical instruments efficiently
• Manage laboratory activities and handle data analysis using computers

Upper Age Limit: 35 years

Monthly Emoluments:

• ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET, Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, GATE, or equivalent national-level examinations conducted by DBT/DST or other central agencies

• ₹25,000 + HRA for candidates not meeting the above criteria

Mode of Selection:

• Online Interview through MS Teams, Skype, or similar platforms

Important Instructions

1. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No right for regularization at CSIR/CSIR-NEERI is implied.
2. The upper age limit will be calculated as on the last date of application.
3. No application fee is required.
4. Only candidates with declared results and valid provisional/degree certificates are eligible.
5. Result-awaited or final-semester candidates are not eligible.
6. Experience will be counted only after the minimum qualification is acquired; academic dissertation work is not considered experience.
7. Higher qualifications obtained during tenure do not add to professional experience count.
8. Fulfilling the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview; shortlisting will depend on Screening Committee recommendations.
9. Interview details will be uploaded on the official website for shortlisted candidates.
10. Each new engagement requires a fresh application; no automatic upgradation is allowed.
11. CSIR-NEERI reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the engagement at any time.
12. Selected candidates must join within the timeframe mentioned in the offer letter, subject to medical and character verification.
13. Selected candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement regarding project data and intellectual property.
14. Tenure is subject to project duration and satisfactory performance; may be extended or curtailed based on requirements.
15. Either party may terminate the engagement with one month’s notice or equivalent salary in lieu.
16. Candidates must arrange their own accommodation during the tenure (HRA will be provided as per rules).
17. The offer letter will cover the initial duration based on available project funds.
18. A review committee will periodically assess performance for extension decisions.
19. Engagement terms shall follow CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024/18.10.2024, as amended.
20. No TA/DA will be provided for interview participation (in case of offline mode).
21. Other conditions will follow CSIR-NEERI and funding agency guidelines.
