Role description

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and optimize heterogeneous catalytic systems for decarbonization applications (e.g., CO2 reduction, hydrogen generation, methane reforming, etc.) and process efficiency improvement.
• Perform catalyst characterization using advanced techniques such as XRD, TEM, BET, TPx, and in situ spectroscopy. Conduct kinetic studies, reaction mechanism analysis, and structure-performance relationships for catalyst improvement.
• Develop new catalytic routes to address environmental issues as well as improvement of process efficiency of the steel plant.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up catalytic processes from lab-scale to industrial applications.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and contribute to sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and execution of catalysis research projects according to the requirement of the organization.
2. Lab scale and large-scale execution of research projects.
3. Managing and handling of advanced research equipment in the chemical (catalyst) synthesis and characterization field.
4. Collaboration with operations people to support daily operations.
5. Collaboration with academia and startups for the development of new technology.

Skills:

• Managing and handling of advanced research equipment in the chemical synthesis and characterization field.
• Proven track record in catalyst design, synthesis, and testing.
• Work as a team member.

Other details:

• PhD (Chemistry, preferably in the catalysis field)
• Candidate having industrial research experience (Minimum 1 year) will be preferred.
