Job Purpose
Personnel handling this profile will be responsible for supporting store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt of all kinds of materials such as room temperature, cold storage, hazardous, toxic, pyrophoric, flammable, explosive, reducing agents, peroxide-forming chemicals, restricted, licensed, controlled substance materials, reagents, general consumables, lab items, and packing materials
- Perform thorough verification, segregation, barcoding, and storage as per chemical compatibility zones, appropriate temperatures, monitor and record cold room temperature as per SOP
- Label containers with appropriate zone identification, storage conditions, expiry dates, and ensure labels are free from handwritten marks as per SOP
- Handle material issuance and receipt of lab return materials strictly based on reservation and return reservation requests, post all transaction entries, and maintain records including in SAP
- Conduct physical stock verification quarterly as per SOP, identify stock mismatches (if any), and submit audit summary reports; correct stock using appropriate SAP T-code and hand over redundant chemicals to EHSS after necessary approvals as per SOP and protocol
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth store operation
- Develop store team to bring operational efficiency
- Ensure 100% inventory accuracy and optimization
- Responsible for safety, sustainability, audit compliance, following SOP, protocols, and real-time record maintenance
- Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace, ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
- Attend training on EHS measures provided by the company
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. or relevant qualification (preferably in chemistry)
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of SAP MM Module
- Chemical knowledge, hazardous identification, compatibility storage, and safety system requirements
- Good documentation and SDS management
- Ability to handle emergency situations such as chemical spillage, fumes, flammable leaks, firefighting, etc.
- Warehouse and inventory management
- Good communication and computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel)
Experience:
- 0-3 years of work experience in a relevant field
Behavioral Skills:
- Capability to work in a team and demonstrate good team spirit
- Ability to follow instructions while also demonstrating innovation in approach
- Good communication skills
