Job Title: Phd Instructor
Eligibility: Ph.D. in Chemistry with at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience, preferably in organic or inorganic and physical chemistry specialization.
Desirable: Candidates having a passion for teaching, especially in laboratory instruction, and a prior research/teaching experience will be added as an advantage.
Age: Below 35 years as on the last date for receipt of applications. Relaxation in age is applicable as per GOI norms.
Duration: The above position is purely contractual, and candidates will be hired on a renewable annual contract (dependin
g on satisfactory performance) for a maximum duration of 5 years. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining. The waitlist will be operational for six months.Salary: Instructor pay will be fixed in the range of Rs. 54,000 – 5,000 – 74,000 + HRA per month. The salary will be fixed based on experience.
Job Description: The instructor should be prepared to take overall charge of the integrated Ph.D. laboratories, responsible for the maintenance of the laboratories and for conducting laboratory courses in consultation with the institute faculty. The lnstructor would also help design and evolve the laboratory/lecture curriculum and may also need to assist in the conduct of tutorial classes, course material preparation (both print and electronic
versions) and evaluation of students. Further, he/she would help the Co-ordinator in the general administration of the Programme.

General Instructions
a. The Candidate must possess the essential prescribed qualifications on or before the last date of submitting an application.
b. These are annual contract positions and are subject to annual review and renewal. However, the engagement may be terminated by either side without cause with one month’s notice or salary in lieu thereof. The decision of the Institute in this regard shall be final and binding on the candidate. The duration of the contract is for one year initially and extendable up to five years on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance and conduct.
c. The age of the candidate should be below the prescribed age limit as above, as on the last date of receipt of the application. Relaxation in age is applicable as per GOI norms.
d. Qualifications other than one prescribed in this advertisement will not be accepted.
e. Engagement on the contract would be subject to medical fitness.
f. Except the consolidated and fixed emoluments, no other benefits will be extended.
g. Candidature/contract of candidate(s) submitting false certificates or suppression/submission of incorrect information shall be liable for termination/disqualification/rejection at any stage.

i. Prescribed educational qualifications and experience are the minimum eligibilities required and mere fact that a candidate possesses the same shall not entitle him/her for being called for test/interview. In case it is found that the documents submitted by the candidate are not genuine, then his/her services shall be terminated, and disciplinary/criminal proceedings will be initiated.
