Job Title: MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY – Research Scientist/ Sr. Research Scientist
Educational qualifications Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry) with Post Doctoral Fellowship
Years of experience 2-5 yrs of industry experience in medicinal chemistry/ drug discovery/ design of novel chemical entities.
Job Scope / Purpose To provide scientific and operational leadership in operating chemistry-related drug discovery project(s).
Key Responsibilities Planning and implementation of nove approaches to drug discovery and development.
• Driving SAR for novel chemical series in at least 2 disease areas.
• Manages the drug designing and synthesis efforts in projects and is partially accountable
for the success of these projects.
• Optimal utilization of resources in the specific project team through monitoring, measuring, and reporting on scientific issues, opportunities, and developmental plans and
achievements within agreed formats & timescales.
• Manages and drives the project through interdepartmental coordination and communications
Experience required Ability to manage processes of maturing a target candidate from Hit finding to LO
design.
• Should have peer-reviewed publications and presentations in areas related to drug discovery.
