Job Title: Senior Research Scientist
Job Description:
Will be technically responsible for working on the synthetic organic Chemistry projects involves optimization of small molecules, macromolecules and API’s to lead synthesis.
This will require detailed reading of literature, planning, execution, optimization and analysis of multi-step reactions, presentation of results in group meetings, writing grand proposals, and lab supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple projects/on-going work activities (timelines, work plans, deliverables) of moderate complexity within a Work Team
- Manages and leads people, technological and financial resources in a Work Team
- Demonstrates strong technical/functional knowledge needed to coach direct reports on day-to-day activities
- The breadth of technical/functional expertise is focused on applicable discipline
- Demonstrates good understanding of industry knowledge and has a strong understanding of business operations.
- Actively shares knowledge with others within Work Team through existing knowledge-sharing processes/systems.
- Identifies and makes improvements to existing work processes/products
- Learns to take appropriate risks and applies ingenuity
- Supports developmental and training opportunities for direct reports
- Manages the performance of direct reports through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching.
Eligibility Criteria:
- M.Sc. Chemistry; Ph.D. (Chemistry)
- Education and technical areas of expertise should include fields of Chemistry with an analytical background on analysis of organic compounds.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to understand the importance of effective stakeholder management and communications.
- Possess in-depth technical expertise on products and technologies associated with the manufacturing or labs, and a thorough understanding of product and process and how manufacturing operations can influence product characteristics
