Pay Scale Level – 11 (Rs.67,700 – 2,08,700/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 67,700/- plus DA as applicable per month).

Age Not exceeding 40 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date for vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification

A. Educational-
Master’s Degree

from a recognized University in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Electronics. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from recognized University or Institute in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/Metallurgical/Mechanical/Aeronautical/
Chemical.

B. Experience-

Five years experience in production, development or Quality Assurance in the field of calibration/armaments/electronics / aeronautical/underwater applications from organizations in Central / State Government/ Union Territory administration or autonomous or statutory organization / Public Sector Undertakings / University / Recognized Research Institution or private organization listed in the stock exchanges of India.
Desirable Qualification (s)

(i) Doctorate in the relevant branch of Science.
(ii) Post Graduate degree in Engineering.

Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.
Duty(ies)

(a) Analysis and processing of Oceanographic Data.
(b) Preparation of salinity, density and temperature diagrams along latitude sections.
(c) Identification of water masses, their nature and characteristics, their boundaries and their movement.
(d) Maintenance of oceanographic records and archiving of data.

Probation 01 (One) year

Head Quarter Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy), New Delhi.
Other Details General Central Services, Group ‘A’ Gazetted. Non-Ministerial. The posts are permanent.
