Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Shift Chemist in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) to support the

development of robust and cost effective API’s by executing scale up batches for all new and existing APIs at GMP Kilo Lab.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment including Reactors (GL, SS), ANFD, VTD, Isolators, Blenders, and Spray Dryers

  • Execute batches, perform product changeovers, and clean equipment per SOP

  • Document batch processes, maintain equipment logs, and monitor environmental parameters

  • Collect and process in-process samples and manage materials movement and dispensing

  • Ensure compliance with SHE norms, handle chemicals with proper PPE, and monitor safety behavior

  • Coordinate with maintenance for preventive actions and equipment downtime reduction

  • Assist with waste handling, detoxification, and deviation/incident reporting

  • Support engineering and QA teams in qualifications and documentation

Qualifications

  • Educational: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in API/pharma manufacturing

Skills & Attributes

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of API production processes, unit operations, and safety practices

  • Familiarity with SAP systems, equipment calibration, and GMP compliance

  • Understanding of production planning and deviation handling

Behavioural Skills:

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow GMP protocols

  • Willingness to work in a shift-based environment
