Job Description:
Pfizer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Scientist to join its Analytical Development team in Chennai. The role involves managing analytical laboratory operations, developing and validating methods, and contributing to the solution of scientific problems and informed decision-making. The candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic scientific initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments with precision.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments, including HPLC/UPLC, GC, IC, UV, and FTIR.
- Manage laboratory activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Lead scientific initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Perform method development, validation, and transfer.
- Provide expert consultation and peer review of scientific work.
- Propose mitigation and contingency plans for potential risks.
- Ensure adherence to cGMP, GDP, and Environmental, Health, and Safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M. Pharm.
- Experience: 3–7 years of relevant work experience in analytical development.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, including HPLC/UPLC, GC, IC, UV, and FTIR.
- Proven expertise in method development, validation, and transfer.
- Familiarity with cGMP, GDP, and regulatory standards.
