The purpose of this position is to oversee the Environment, Health & Safety dimensions of Clariant products. This role includes analyzing, verifying, and maintaining relevant data in the SAP System.
Responsibilities
- Generating documents pertaining to Clariant product and raw material regulatory compliance. (Ensure the production of legally compliant reports based on product, raw material, and their component data)
- Developing and distributing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other declarations/certificates related to product safety to our worldwide customers. (Generate and update safety data sheets and other product safety declarations globally for our customers)
- Assessing and managing product safety data in systems. (Evaluate, maintain, and archive product safety data)
- Tracking regulatory modifications worldwide and integrating them into Clariant systems. (Analyze regulatory changes)
- Assisting in the continual enhancement of our global processes
Requirements
- The incumbent should possess an M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related field from a reputable university.
- Ideally, candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
- Familiarity with international chemical regulations such as GHS and dangerous goods declaration is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential.
- Candidates should exhibit teamwork skills and a readiness to travel.
- Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to work independently, with a structured and results-driven approach, is vital.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with ERP systems, especially modules EH&S and WINS in SAP, is an advantage.
- While knowledge of safety tests for chemical products is helpful, it is not obligatory.
