Job Title: Lab Assistant (VAIAL) – Soil Science

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Sc. Chemistry. Knowledge and experience in handling soil sampling, analysis, fertilizers, and manures.

Years Of Exp: 2 to 4 Years

Job Description:

• Set up or maintain laboratory equipment and collect samples from crops, field or animals.
• Prepare specimens or record data to assist scientists in biology or related life science experiments.
• Collect samples for other UDAF programs as needed
• Perform procedures to prepare the samples for analysis, including grinding, weighing, and diluting samples, assistance in class and field experiments.
• Perform essential laboratory housekeeping functions, including temperature tracking, solution preparation, data entry, data analysis and cleaning.
• Follow established laboratory practices, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain the work area and all lab equipment and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records.
