Job Title: GMP QC Analyst

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry; Analytical chemistry is preferable, at least six years of relevant Laboratory experience of GMP Quality control lab.
  • Approved Technical person (Testing section) from FDCA -Gandhinagar.
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • High attention to detail and an ability to analyze outcomes against a standard;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to optimize efficiency and productivity of the laboratory.
  • Enthusiasm to participate in cross-functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive approach with good communication skills; Fluent in English, additional languages is a plus.
  • Must willing to perform duty in a variety of shifts (including weekends and holidays).

Responsibilties:

  • Perform routine analytical testing as directed by protocols and work instructions/Standard test procedure;
  • Work a variety of shifts (including weekends and holidays);
  • Request additional work to increase team productivity;
  • Ability to plan, support and allocate routine workflow to other team members and contract employees;
  • Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of solid/liquid waste and other duties to help in the overall operations of the laboratory;
  • Support department improvement projects related to release goals, the identification of root cause for investigations, and the improvement of laboratory test methods;
  • Train self and others on waste management;
  • Alert lab leadership and lead resolution of issues or discrepancies involving sample integrity, supply inventory, safety concerns, or analysis irregularities;
  • Troubleshoot testing processes, and ensure appropriate error resolution;
  • Conduct preventative and general maintenance;
  • Lead efforts to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Implement laboratory preventative maintenance program;
  • Understand, operate and troubleshoot Chromatography Data System (CDS) system, and other instrument-specific computer systems;
  • Record, calculate and report analytical results;
  • Review analytical data, protocol and reports related to Quality control records.
  • Perform Discrepancy Management investigations, writes/reviews laboratory investigation reports and implements corrective and preventative actions;
  • Communicate and discuss any issues with team members and supervisor;
  • Complete data entry for metrics and KPIs, and lead the development of metrics and KPIs;
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for all IT system changes;
  • Identify process improvement ideas and communicate opportunities;
  • Assist in validation of lab and IT changes, method/documentation, and implementation of technical protocols and work instructions in accordance to GMP QMS;
  • Act with customers in mind;
  • Understand customer requirements and exceed expectations when possible;
  • Understand data/issues from the perspective of customers and apply to decision making;
  • Identify opportunities and lead in improving established procedures and aid in implementations;
  • Maintain appropriate records to meet internal requirements as well as, GMP & Schedule-M;
  • Complete various daily instrument calibrations and inspections and draft Management of Change documentation;
  • Provide training on lab protocols to new analysts, contractors, and other personnel;
  • Notify leads when supplies/consumables are at critical levels;
  • Track lab standards and chemicals to ensure compliance with GMP regulation and plant policy (storage conditions, expiration, containment, etc.); Ownership of laboratory
  • requisitioning scheme (Critical supplies and equipment lists, relationship with vendors and procurement, etc.);
  • Observe good safety and housekeeping practices;

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Lab Analyst to Assist in the day-to-day coordination of lab tasks for existing and new GMP Projects.
