CSIR-NEERI Project Assistant Vacancy – Application Details
Applications are invited in the prescribed format for empanelment of Project Assistant Level I and II under externally funded/ sponsored project(s) and other Projects at CSIR-NEERI Kolkata Zonal Centre located in Kolkata. A panel of suitable candidates will be prepared for their selection as per project-specific requirement and arrangement. Check out all the details on the same below:
Prescribed Educational qualifications:
Job Title: Project Assistant -I
Minimum educational qualification: B.Sc. in any branch of Science with 55% marks.
Desirable: Postgraduate diploma/degree in any branch of Science.
No. of positions: 3 (may vary)
Stipend: Rs. 20000/- per month + HRA
Job Title: Project Assistant-II
Minimum educational qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry (any branch)with 55% marks
Desirable: Higher qualification over and above specified minimum educational qualification; Experience after post-graduation in air/water sampling, environmental monitoring, analysis of environmental samples, handling of analytical instruments and other field instruments, data handling in MS Excel.

Stipend: Rs. 3 I 000/- per month + HRA
Upper age limit: 28 years (for PA-I) and 30 years (for PA-II)

Job Requirement:
For PA-I (SI. No. I): Field surveys; Sampling of water, air, soil, plant biomass and all other types of environmental samples; Secondary data collection etc.
For PA-II (SI. No. I): Undertaking rigorous field trips and surveys; Sampling of water. air, soil, plant biomass and al I other types of environmental samples; Environmental monitoring; Laboratory analysis of environmental samples; Secondary data collection; Data compilation and analysis; Report preparation etc.
The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experience in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported by documents. The cut-off date for the maximum age I imit will be 12th
August 2020. The engagement shall be an assignment and not an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit on the candidates for regularization/absorption against any post in CSIR-NEERI or under any other scheme of CSIR. However, each candidate is encouraged to improve his/her qualification during the tenure.

Important Dates:
Last date for submitting Application by Email: August 12th 2020 (up to 6 pm)
Personal Online Interview: Interview date will be intimated to all the shortlisted candidates later by email along with the details for appearance through the online portal.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No Separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates not fulfilling the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed. The decision of ARCP, duly approved by the competent authority will be final. Notification is also displayed on the Institute website (www.neeri.res.in) wherefrom application form can be downloaded. No interim inquiries will be entertained in this regard.
