Job Purpose

Manage an environmentally sustainable production plan to minimize the impact on site operations and ensure statutory compliance for the smooth functioning of the site.

Key Accountabilities (1/6)

  • Plan and execute operations and maintenance as discussed with the site head, to ensure environmental sustainability of the site and achieve cost control.
  • Monitor smooth operation of ETP, UF, RO, MEE, VTFD, Decanter, Volute, Anaerobic Digester, etc., and ensure it runs 365 days.
  • Indent materials & requirements and create CERs.
  • Monitor handling, segregation, and disposal of E1 and E2 waste and in-plant generated hazardous waste, as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Decrease the operational cost by minimizing chemical consumption and manpower.

Key Accountabilities (2/6)

  • Comply with the consent condition to fulfil the statutory requirements.
  • File legal compliance, Cess return, Submission of Form IV, Form V, Form XIII, and MoEF statement.
  • Coordinate with MoEF-approved monitoring agencies, service engineers, MPCB, and MIDC for fulfilling statutory requirements.
  • Provide authorization for hazardous waste management for proper disposal. File the manifest to the MPCB online.

Key Accountabilities (3/6)

  • Maintenance of documentation is required as per the guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain ISO14001 and OSHAS18001 documentation.
  • Check laboratory documents for gaps and update accordingly.
  • Check third-party analysis reports to identify issues in compliance and suggest CAPA.
  • Update SOPs in line with changes in the regulatory environment.

Key Accountabilities (4/6)

  • Execute new project works as per the plan to meet timelines and avoid delays in production.
  • Assist and guide all environmental projects by providing the required documents, such as SOPs and environmental clearance.
  • Keep track of project progress through site supervision.

Education Qualification

M.Sc. (Chemistry) / Diploma in Safety & Environment

Relevant Work Experience

3-5 years of experience in handling safety operations in a pharma organization.
