Position: Project Associate (PAT-I)

CSIR-CFTRI is seeking qualified candidates for the temporary position of Project Associate (PAT-I) for the project entitled “Analytical Activities under customer service & RFL” (TSP 56). This engagement is initially up to March 31, 2026, and is extendable up to two years based on requirement or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier. The position is based in Mysuru, Karnataka.

Position Details:

  • Name of Position & Level: Project Associate – I (PAT-I)
  • Stipend & HRA: Rs.. 25,000 plus HRA

Essential Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • Essential Qualification: M. Sc in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Agricultural Science/Food Science & Technology
  • Job Requirements: For R&D, Analytical, and Lab Work
  • Subject Panel(s) to be chosen in the portal: Biochemistry, Chemistry or Food Science, or Agricultural science
  • Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in a reputed R&D institute in the areas of fruits, vegetables, confectioneries, modern analytical instruments, method validation, and MS-office tools will be preferred.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Candidates should not be over 35 years of age as of 21/12/2025.
  • Only candidates with the essential qualification & declared results can apply. Result awaited/final semester appeared or appearing candidates are not eligible.
  • Experience in a related discipline is counted after the minimum prescribed educational qualifications are met.
  • Shortlisted candidates for interview will be displayed on the CSIR-CFTRI website. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
  • The shortlisting committee may adopt various criteria to restrict the number of candidates for interviews.
  • Performance-based selection outcomes will be posted on the CFTRI website.
  • Relaxation in age for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and OBC categories is 5 years and 3 years, respectively.
  • Engagement is temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure and does not entitle conversion to permanent posts.
  • Performance reviews will determine continued engagement, which may be extended or curtailed based on requirements and conduct.
  • No registration rights for higher degrees or permanent employment in CSIR-CFTRI or other CSIR institutes.
  • Maximum cumulative engagement for project staff is 6 years. Past CSIR engagement counts towards this limit.
  • Posts are subject to available project funds.
  • Mere engagement does not guarantee higher degree registration or permanent employment privileges.
  • Performance reviews may lead to termination if standards are not met.
  • CSIR-CFTRI holds the right to amend terms, terminate offers, and alter advertised vacancies without notice.
  • Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
