Senior Research Fellow (SRF Job) Position – Central University of Punjab, Bathinda
Project Title:
“Design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of novel pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives as thymidylate synthase inhibitors”

- Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Uma Shanker
- Location: Central University of Punjab, Village Ghudda, Bathinda, Punjab – 151401
- Project Duration: Three years
- No. of Posts: 01 (One)
- Engagement Period: Initially one year, extendable based on project funding and performance
- Emoluments: ₹42,000 per month + HRA
Age Limit: Up to 35 years (relaxation as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Essential Qualifications:
- First/Second class M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry) or M.S. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry); Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry)
- Minimum one-year research experience
- At least one publication in a SCI journal
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in the synthesis of medicinally potent compounds
- Experience in designing novel compounds using in silico approaches
- Experience in biological experiments, including cell culture, enzymatic assays, western blotting, MTT assays, animal handling, and execution of animal study protocols
- Experience in scientific manuscript and patent drafting
- Good communication skills
