For Physical Sciences Division
- Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Material Science: M.Sc/M.Tech in Chemistry
- Condensed Matter Physics/Materials Science: M.Sc/M.Tech in Chemistry
- Applied Plasma Physics and Biophysics: Masters in Chemistry/M.Tech in ICE/Electrical Engineering
- Plasma Physics: MSc/M.Tech in Chemistry/Electrical Engineering
Eligibility
Candidates shall be eligible to apply for admission and registration within the ongoing program of research at IASST, if:
- He/she has obtained 55% marks in aggregate (Equivalent CGPA on 10 point scale) in the master’s degree examination. A candidate belonging to SC/ST who has obtained 50% marks in aggregate in master degree examination shall also be eligible to apply.
- Qualified valid national PhD research fellowship (CSIR-NET- JRF/UGC-NET- JRF/DBT-JRF/ICMR –JRF)
Or
- Qualified CSIR/UGC-NET Category–2 (appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD) / CSIR/UGC-NET Category–3 (admission to PhD only) / JEST / GATE with validity of test score.
Age Limit
- Upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation as per the GOI Norms.

- IASST’s Right: If suitable candidates are not found in any discipline, IASST reserves the right not to fill up its JRF position for this academic year.
