  • Project Tenure: 3 Years

Job Description

Hydrogen production and separation from green sources are vital for sustainable growth. The Government of India has identified that green hydrogen production from biomass sources will decarbonise various industrial processes utilising hydrogen produced from fossil fuels. This project proposes a novel technology and process for producing and separating hydrogen via gasification, followed by membrane-based separation. The technology developed will be employed at a pilot plant scale in collaboration with an Industrial partner (Chanderpur Renewal Power Pvt Ltd). The project will accelerate the development of biomass gasification-based Green Hydrogen production and membrane-based separation technologies.

Essential Qualification:

  • M.E./M.Tech. with at least 60% marks in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Energy Science or Engineering/ Material Science / Environmental Engineering/ Nano Technology or a relevant area
  • M.Sc Chemistry/Physics with at least 65% marks (with a minimum of one year of experience)

Upper Age Limit: Preferably below 35 Years

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- per month (as per MNRE/Govt and BITS Pilani guidelines)

Registration for PhD: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program at BITS Pilani, subject to meeting the requirements of the PhD qualification process in accordance with the institute’s norms.
