Position Purpose
The position will be responsible for development of assigned project within given timeframe as per safety and environmental rules. This includes thorough literature survey, bench scale trials, preparation of SOPs, and necessary documentation. This also includes demonstrating developed chemical processes to PD team, and providing support in KL, pilot plant, and commercial plant for successful technology transfer.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Understand the objective of project / chemistry / MSDS
- Search additional literature as needed
- Provide inputs in planning of experiments, manpower, glassware, raw materials, and analysis
- Ensure proper maintenance of lab equipment
- Maintain housekeeping and use PPEs
- Use relevant MSDS for safe handling and disposal of toxic chemicals
Operational Responsibilities
- Conduct bench scale experiments as per planning and identification of critical parameters
- Coordinate with QC for analytical support and prepare samples as per required quality
- Optimize process with respect to identified critical parameters and impurities characterization and synthesis
- Understand parameters responsible for impurities
- Conduct process validation by reproducing minimum three consecutive batches
- Compile experimental observations and data
- Conduct demo batches to PD
- Check quality plans and plant SOP and use test of RMs
- Compile data and update KL/PP plant trials periodically
Financial Responsibilities
- Contribute to budget proposals
- Contribute to budgetary controls within area of responsibility
People Responsibilities
- Utilize all available sources for skill upgradation
- Actively participate in problem-solving sessions and training programs
- Coordinate and communicate with the team
- Guide subordinates
Education Qualification: Master’s and PhD in Organic Chemistry from a reputed University/Institute
Work Experience: 0-8 years of Industrial Experience.
Industry to be Hired from: Agro chemicals/fine chemicals/pharma-API/Specialty chemicals.
