Job Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments, reactions, and process trials as per project requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, observations, and results (lab notebook, reports, data sheets).
- Assist in scale-up activities from lab to pilot plant and troubleshoot process issues.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and maintain chemical inventory.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals as per safety guidelines.
- Support R&D team in developing new products, improving existing processes, and optimizing reaction conditions.
- Coordinate with production, QC, and pilot plant teams when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the laboratory.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
- 0–1 year of experience in an R&D lab or chemical industry (freshers with strong fundamentals are preferable).
- Knowledge of lab techniques, reaction setup, distillation, extraction, filtration, etc.
- Understanding of safety practices (PPE, MSDS, hazard identification).
- Good documentation and observation skills.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work on multiple projects.
