Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments, reactions, and process trials as per project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, observations, and results (lab notebook, reports, data sheets).
  • Assist in scale-up activities from lab to pilot plant and troubleshoot process issues.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and maintain chemical inventory.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals as per safety guidelines.
  • Support R&D team in developing new products, improving existing processes, and optimizing reaction conditions.
  • Coordinate with production, QC, and pilot plant teams when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the laboratory.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
  • 0–1 year of experience in an R&D lab or chemical industry (freshers with strong fundamentals are preferable).
  • Knowledge of lab techniques, reaction setup, distillation, extraction, filtration, etc.
  • Understanding of safety practices (PPE, MSDS, hazard identification).
  • Good documentation and observation skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work on multiple projects.
