About the Role
The Junior QA Officer role at Envalior is designed for individuals eager to build a strong foundation in quality assurance within the polymers and high-performance materials industry. This position is ideal for candidates pursuing a QA job, transitioning from chemistry jobs, or beginning a chemical engineering career path. You will be responsible for testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring compliance with ASTM and ISO standards. The role also involves digital documentation, identifying abnormalities, supporting root cause analysis, and collaborating with production and technology teams to uphold Envalior’s commitment to quality, safety, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Execute sample collection and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with ASTM and ISO standards and supporting operational stability.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and digital records to enable traceability and continuous improvement in quality processes.
- Actively investigate and report abnormalities, collaborating with production and technology teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new testing methods and supporting the digitalization of quality data.
You Will Make Key Contributions to Envalior:
- Collaborate across teams, fostering an inclusive and innovative environment.
- Prioritize safety, adhere to protocols, and prevent unsafe situations.
- Operate and maintain critical lab equipment such as UTM, impact testers, color spectrometers, viscosity testers, moisture analyzers, and plastic molding machines.
- Handle customer complaints by tracing lot numbers, retesting samples, and communicating findings.
- Support inward (raw material) and outward (finished goods) testing as needed.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent, reproducible test results and reliable machine handling.
- Drive initiatives aligned with Envalior’s commitment to a sustainable future.
RequirementsÂ
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical, chemical, and basic electrical testing of polymers/plastics; familiarity with ASTM/ISO standards; basic MS Office and data management skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, proactive communication, teamwork, and openness in reporting equipment or process issues.
Experience: Freshers from CPIT or similar backgrounds are encouraged; experience in compounding, plastics, or related industries is a plus, making this a suitable entry-level QA job for job seekers. - Education: Diploma in Plastic Engineering (CPIT/CIPET preferred), ITI/polytechnic in plastics/chemicals, or B.Sc. in Chemistry/Polymer Science
- Certifications: Not mandatory, but ISO/quality-related training is an advantage.
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts (6-day week); possible 7-day schedule in future. - Language: Proficiency in English and Hindi.
