Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time-bound research project
for a temporary period, purely on a contractual basis as per the following details.Project Title: “Deciphering the role of Hsp110 molecular chaperone in cell division arrest and septin ring dynamics during endoplasmic reticulum stress”. The project will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Koyeli Mapa (Principal Investigator), Associate Professor, Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR.
Eligible and interested candidates should send their application with a complete CV (having personal and academic details, academic qualifications with percentage of marks or GPA, research experiences, publications (if any), name, affiliation, and email address of at least two referees) to Dr Koyeli Mapa (koyeli.mapa@snu.edu.in) on or before 20th November 2025. The scanned copies of mark sheets/transcripts/testimonials/ certificates, a recent passport-size photograph, and other relevant documents are also requested to be attached. Only the short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview on/before 25th November 2025. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates to attend the interview.
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Chemistry with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. Candidate must be GATE/NET qualified (attach a copy of the scorecard).
Desirable Qualification: Experience in molecular biology, protein expression purification, or handling yeast as a model organism.
Fellowship: Rs 37,000/p.m.
Duration of the Project: 1 year (purely temporary), can be extended further based on satisfactory performance in the first year.

Age Limit: 28 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to the scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.

The project aims to understand the modulatory role of Hsp110 molecular chaperone during Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
