Project Details
The CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), has announced
its CFTRI Recruitment 2025 for the engagement of Project Associate (PAT-I) and Project Associate (PAT-II). These Project Associate Jobs are offered on a temporary contractual basis for a research project titled “Development of Highly Efficient Oxygen Scavenger Sachets Using Natural Rubber Silica Composites for Enhanced Food Preservation.”The initial engagement is up to March 31, 2026, and may be extended based on performance and project requirements.
Job Positions
Position I
- Post name: Project Associate – I (PAT-I)
- No of Position(s): 1
- Stipend & HRA: ₹25,000/- + HRA (as per norms)
- Qualifications: MSc. in Food Science and Technology/Chemistry
Or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Technology in Chemical Engineering or Food Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent - Job Requirements: Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and related laboratory/field R&D activities
- Subject Panel(s): Food Sci & Technol. Incl Nutrition, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering & Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical/Production Engg.
Position II
- Post Name: Project Associate – II (PAT-II)
- No of Position(s): 1
- Stipend & HRA: ₹28,000/- + HRA (as per norms)
- Qualifications:
MSc in Chemistry/Food Science and Technology or equivalent, and 2 years’ experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions, Science & Technology Organisations, and Scientific activities and Services - Job Requirements: Experience in food shelf-life analysis and food packaging technologies
- Subject Panel(s): Chemistry, Food Sci & Technol. Incl Nutrition
Desirable Qualifications
- Project Associate-I: Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and related laboratory/field R&D activities.
- Project Associate-II: Experience in food shelf-life analysis and food packaging technologies.
Terms and Conditions
- Candidates should not have exceeded 35 years of age as on 17-11-2025.
- Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualifications and whose results have been declared are eligible to apply.
- The period of experience in a discipline/area of work shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for the post.
- Applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by a designated committee. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
- The engagement shall not provide any right/claim for regularization for a permanent post.
- The performance of Project Staff will be reviewed periodically.
- Other terms and conditions will be governed as per guidelines issued by CSIR/funding agency.
