Job Description
As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, maintaining laboratory quality standards, and ensuring compliance with FSSAI and other national guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration of analytical instruments to maintain testing accuracy.
- Conduct drinking water analysis as per standard specifications.
- Carry out food sample analysis following FSSAI Nutritional Labelling guidelines.
- Prepare and report analysed samples according to lab protocols.
- Maintain and update all quality-related documents and records.
- Participate in Proficiency Testing (PT) and Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) programmes.
- Maintain the stock of chemicals, reagents, and glassware.
- Perform method validation and verification activities.
- Conduct MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) calculations as per the testing requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry (preferred).
- Strong understanding of analytical techniques and instrument calibration.
- Experience in food, water, or environmental testing laboratories preferred.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to adhere to ISO, NABL, and FSSAI standards.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to laboratory quality compliance.
