ONGC Lab Chemist/Analyst Apprenticeship 2025 – Overview
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), India’s flagship energy major and a ‘Maharatna’ Central Public Sector Enterprise, is inviting applications for engagement of apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961. This initiative is part of ONGC’s Skill Development Centres program, which provides hands-on training and industry exposure in petroleum product analysis.
Candidates can apply for Lab Chemist/Analyst positions at multiple locations, including Dehradun, Mumbai, Panvel, Hazira, Cambay, Vadodara, Ankleshwar, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Sivasagar, Rajahmundry, and Bokaro. Seats are tentative and may vary based on ONGC’s requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university or institution.
- Age Limit: 18–24 years as on 06.11.2025, with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per government norms.
- Domicile/Residence: Candidates must be residents of or have obtained qualifications from eligible districts corresponding to the desired work centre.
Duration and Stipend:
- Training Duration: 12 months for all trades.
- Stipend: ₹12,300/month for graduate apprentices, with no additional TA/DA or lodging support.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be merit-based, determined by marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- In case of a tie, older candidates will be prioritized.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD will be applied as per government policy.

- Applications are open from 16 October 2025 and close on 06 November 2025.

- Previous apprenticeship or training of one year or more disqualifies candidates.
