Job Details
- Job Post: Research Intern
- Location: New Delhi, India
- Duration: 3 months
- Qualification: Recently passed or currently pursuing Bachelor’s (3rd year onwards) or Master’s in Metallurgy, Minerals, Mining, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Candidates in public policy with 0–1 year of research experience are also eligible.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and research aptitude.
Project Title: Identifying opportunities for India to increase domestic value addition in the critical mineral value chain for exploration, mining, and processing of minerals.
Responsibilities
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct technology-based research on emerging mineral exploration, mining, and processing methods.
- Compile information on infrastructure and skills required for efficient mineral extraction and processing.
- Gather data on power requirements for mining and processing operations.
- Analyze literature, reports, and data from sources such as the Indian Bureau of Mines, GSI, USGS, BGS, and think tanks to identify policy gaps and opportunities.
- Software and Tools: Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other basic computer software.
Programme Assistance:
- Assist with structuring projects and programme implementation, including preparing presentations, factsheets, and other communication materials.
- Contribute to research reports and publications as part of the research team.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders, prepare minutes, and assist with follow-up tasks.
- Support the organisation of webinars, workshops, and roundtables.
