The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship & Management – Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T), an Institute of National Importance, is conducting a walk-in interview for multiple research positions. A. Project: Valorization of food industry waste for production of cellulose derivatives and its application as food additives (GAP-88)
- Vacancy: 01
- Qualifications: M Tech/MSc with NET in Food Process Engineering/Food Process Technology/ Food Science and Technology/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science.
- Remuneration: Rs. 42,000 + HRA as applicable.
- Project Duration: 03.09.2027.
B. Project: Design and Development of a High-speed Food 3D Printer with Simultaneous Post-Processing Capability (GAP 89)
- Vacancy: 01
- Qualifications: M.Tech. in Food Technology/Food Process Engineering/Processing and Food Engineering /Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence /Electronics and Communication Engineering /Instrumentation Engineering/Additive Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering/ Automation and Robotics/Control Systems or Industrial Design/Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology.
- Remuneration: Rs. 42,000 + HRA as applicable.

C. Project: Process optimisation for production of coconut sap (neera) sugar crystals and granules (GAP 92)

- Qualifications: M. Tech./MSc. Degree (4 yrs. of UG + 2 yrs. of PG) in Food Process Engineering/Food Science and Technology/ Food Science and Nutrition /Food Technology / Chemical Engineering.
- Remuneration: Rs. 37,000 + HRA as applicable.
- Project Duration: 27.08.2027
General Instructions
- Age Limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of the interview.
- Application Fee: Rs. 500/-. (SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates are exempted) .
- Application Process: Candidates must fill out the application form from the Institute website and submit a hard copy with all necessary documents during the interview.
- Interview Mode: The interview will be conducted in person only at NIFTEM – Thanjavur.
- Required Documents: Be present on 10.10.2025 with original certificates (including caste certificates), grade cards, publications, two passport-size photos, a CV, and a set of photocopies of all relevant documents.
- Appointment: The NIFTEM Jobs positions are temporary and time-bound, lasting until the project period is completed.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
