Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Science, or equivalent.
  • Relevant basic/theoretical knowledge of analytical instruments such as LC, LC-MS, QTOF, GC, GC-MS.
  • 18–24 months of relevant experience.
  • A candidate should enjoy communicating with customers using remote tools and resolving queries.
  • Excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Preferred: LCMS, LCQTOF for Biopharma; GC-MS for Food & Pharma.
  • Computer and IT skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, SAP-CRM, etc.

Job Description 

This Analytical Chemistry Job Support Engineer provides technical and application services and support to Agilent customers. Responsibilities include resolving problems in a timely and cost-effective manner to enhance the customer experience and meet contractual obligations. Leverage post-sales interactions with customers to identify further revenue opportunities and provide highly qualified leads to sales. Performs required administrative tasks to ensure flawless customer service for contract and trade customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote post-sales hardware, software, technical support, and application services to external customers and internal field personnel using remote diagnostic capabilities.
  • Provide technical & application support for Agilent analytical instruments to existing & new customers in markets including Biopharma, Proteomics, Pharma, and Food at the Manesar location.
  • Operate independently, consulting only on complex issues when needed.
  • Deploy cost- and time-effective application methods on Agilent instruments.
  • Troubleshoot method/technology transfer issues promptly.
  • Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions and customers.
  • Deliver product seminars for customers, prospects, and employees.
  • Train internal and external teams and provide technical support.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and assist in resolving escalations.
  • Coordinate with field sales teams and managers to ensure key customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as part of learning and development.
