The Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB), an autonomous national institute under the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India), is seeking candidates for temporary research positions. The institute’s mission is to advance knowledge and emerging technologies relevant to the agricultural and food sector.
All positions are based in Mohali, Punjab.
Position: Junior Research Fellows (Multiple Positions)
Age Limit: 28 Years. (Relaxation of age for various categories will be as per the rules of DST and other Government of India agencies ).
Fellowship: The fellowship amount will be as per the fellowship awarding agency.
Qualifications:

- Candidates must have an M.Sc/M. Tech./Μ.Ε./Β.Ε./B.Tech in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized University or Institute.
- Applicants must have their own fellowship granted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/DST/ICAR/ICMR or other funding agencies.
- Those in their final year of a Master’s examination who have been awarded a fellowship may also be considered.
Application & Selection Procedure
- How to Apply: Interested candidates must send their completed application form, along with self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates, by email only to ciab552020@gmail.com. The application form can be downloaded from the institute’s website, www.ciab.res.in. No hard copy is required at this stage.
- Selection Process: Applications received will be screened monthly by a committee to shortlist candidates for an interview. The committee will then recommend suitable candidates for engagement.
- PhD Opportunity: Provisions for Ph.D. registration exist at universities and institutes that have an MoU with CIAB, subject to the scholar’s performance and suitability.
