Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in process engineering.
- Experience in Greenfield/Brownfield project design and development.
- Knowledge of HAZOP studies, risk matrices, and mitigation measures.
- Hands-on experience with Aspen HYSIS, PipeNet, or similar software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
Job Description:
As a Project Engineer at Bayer, you will be part of the project department, responsible for driving process improvements, troubleshooting plant operations, and managing small-scale projects. You will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure chemical plant projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

- Develop process engineering concepts for new or existing plants.
- Manage projects from concept to commissioning in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Evaluate environmental and energy infrastructure for plant expansion.
- Perform and validate engineering calculations.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables (Material & Energy Balance, PFD, P&ID, BEP, Data Sheets, Cause & Effect Matrix).
- Participate in HAZOP Studies and risk assessments.
- Support plant optimization and troubleshooting by analyzing process parameters.
- Prepare engineering proposals with investment and payback details.
- Develop project execution plans when acting as a Project Manager.
- Ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Ability to develop and manage commissioning plans.
