Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Paint Technology.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in powder coating resins or powder coating technology.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, application methods, and testing equipment in powder coatings.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 QMS standards preferred.
Technical Service & Development Chemist Job Description
As a Technical Service & Development Chemist, you will be at the forefront of innovation in powder coating resins. You will develop, test, and refine advanced formulations that meet customer requirements and industry standards. This role involves hands-on lab work, cross-functional collaboration, and direct contribution to product innovation and customer satisfaction.
Technical Service & Development Chemist Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and evaluate powder coating resin formulations using established methods.
- Conduct coating characterization tests, including adhesion, hardness, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, and chemical resistance.
- Maintain accurate lab records, reports, and safety documentation.
- Ensure lab operations comply with safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure accurate testing.
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams for product development and improvement.
- Plan and execute multi-day experiments efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers regarding lab materials and equipment.
Technical Service & Development Chemist Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a results-driven mindset.
- Physical ability to manage lab tasks.
