Job Description
The Associate STEM Content Analyst – Chemistry will be responsible for indexing and coding chemical compounds in patents, extracting pharmaceutical and therapeutic activities, and contributing to the Derwent World Patent Index (DWPI™) database. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sound knowledge of chemistry and intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities
- Index and code chemical compounds in patents.
- Extract pharmaceutical, therapeutic, agrochemical activities, chemical reactions, and drug information.
- Draw Markush structures and handle patent data efficiently.
- Achieve target volume deliverables with high quality and accuracy.
- Maintain awareness of current trends and developments in Pharmaceutical/Chemistry fields.
- Demonstrate knowledge of structure handling tools and IUPAC nomenclature.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks as required.
- Adapt flexibly to process changes and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Fresher or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- M.Sc Chemistry / M.Sc Biochemistry / B. Pharm / M. Pharm graduates.
- Preferred: Proficiency in chemical drawing packages (e.g., ISIS Draw).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Comprehensive knowledge of chemistry, including reactions, formulae, catalysts, and additives.
