Job Description
As an Officer to Executive – R&D at Amneal, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring R&D activities related to API process development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth technology transfer, plant validation, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project planning and R&D task distribution
- Monitor process verification schedules and plant batches, and prepare reports
- Compare yield and quality trends of R&D and plant validation batches
- Review characterization reports for working standards, KSMs, and related substances
- Prepare and verify documentation for process verification and validation
- Support plant-scale investigations and troubleshoot with plant/QA teams
- Ensure timely submission of R&D and validation samples to ADL
- Coordinate sample dispatches to Ahmedabad API R&D division
- Communicate with the Raks Ahmedabad API R&D team for project updates
- Assist in documentation for CFE, Drug Licenses, and regulatory submissions
- Review stability data for development and validation batches
- Perform and review verification/calibration of lab instruments
- Review and approve process development and validation documents
- Train junior staff on lab safety, process understanding, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with data integrity, GLP, and cGMP practices
- Participate in technology transfer from R&D to production
- Support generation of regulatory filing documents
- Assist in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
- Maintain records/logbooks in compliance with QA requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Ensure maintenance and calibration of R&D equipment
- Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization
Collaborate with QA/QC, Production, and RA teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (Preferred)
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences (Preferred)
- 3–7 years of experience in API R&D/process development
